Master Plan Micro Design

One of the key components to the CTRC’s “Hub” plan is the dissecting of the complex’s 500,000 sq.ft. into manageable sections or phases. Upon examination, three potential boundary lines become fairly evident as depicted in the diagram on the left. These boundary lines are made possible by the Terminal’s original programmatic uses which called for separated programmatic functions to operate autonomously while still collaborating for a common goal. This results in the opportunity for development of four independent, individually viable phases, which upon
separate completion could work jointly towards the larger common good of complete facility reuse
and occupation. This subdivision of space can be continued within identified zones following similar historic evidence
and functionality.
