Group elects officers, awards for conservation

The Preservation Coalition of Erie County elected new officers and presented awards at its annual meeting Wednesday in Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Cynthia Van Ness was elected president, Warren Glover vice president and Michelle Perkins Grant secretary. Van Ness succeeds Richard Lippes, who will remain a board member.
Lippes was honored with a preservation award for his efforts on behalf of the Preservation Coalition and the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy. Also honored were Russell Pawlak, president of the Central Terminal Restoration Corp., and Douglas Swift, president of the Roycroft Campus Corp.
New board members Harvey Garrett, Carey Maines, Todd Mitchell, Gina O’Neill and Marilyn Rodgers were installed at the meeting.
