Garden emphasizes breast cancer awareness

The Buffalo Federation of Women’s Clubs has planted a breast cancer awareness flower
garden in the circle at the New York Central Terminal on Memorial Drive. Gloria Pfohl,
president, attended the recent international convention of the General Federation of
Women’s Clubs in Orlando, Fla. Also attending were Beverly King, past president of the
Buffalo federation, and Joan Weichmann, new leads chairwoman for the New York State
Federation of Women’s Clubs. The general federation has raised $3.4 million for libraries
across the country.
