Peregrine Falcon chicks named after Central Terminal Architects

Welcome to the newest residents of the Historic Polonia District…. Alfredia and her sister Wagner. On Sunday, the DEC tagged/banded two recently hatched peregrine falcon chicks who reside on the 10th floor of Buffalo Central Terminal. The chicks are named after the architects of Buffalo Central Terminal, Alfred Fellheimer (1875–1959) and Steward Wagner (1886–1958).

Awesome pictures of the banding. What a wonderful treasure nature has given the Central Terminal and the community. These falcons are a real asset to the Terminal. Keep them in the foreground and folks will visit and partake in tours just to be part of it.

Thanks you for all you do to keep the Terminal in the public eye and for hosting a nest box for these falcons.

Keeps the pigeon population down a bit as well which is good for the building.
