Vote for Central Terminal in the Buffalo Challenge

Vote for Central Terminal and help us win a $10,000 grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  The “Buffalo Challenge” contender which collects the most votes between 8am ET on Monday, December 12th and 11:59pm on Sunday, December 18th wins!  Each person can only vote once, so please spread the word and tell your friends to vote as well!

“All of us at the National Trust have warm memories of our time in Buffalo, and we are thrilled to be coming back so soon to give a gift to one of Buffalo’s unique historic sites, just in time for the holidays,” said Stephanie Meeks, National Trust for Historic Preservation president. “We were inspired by the many local residents who are passionate about preserving Buffalo’s outstanding historic places. ‘Buffalo Challenge’ will allow the Queen City to, once again, rally around preservation by voting for the most deserving historic place.”

I vote for the terminal hands down! So many Buffalonians relied on it for work, a means of transportation/shipping and my own family benefited as well at their local tavern for business.

How could we vote otherwise? Actually, Facebook is a bit of a mystery to me, even though I belong, butI’ll do everything I can…. doug and polly smith

  5. Diana Kniazuk says:

I voted for the Central Terminal because I remember what it looked like when I was little and my grandmother took me to the Terminal to catch the train to Chicago. I remember the clock, the big Buffalo statue and the art deco. I am sure many residents of Buffalo remember it. Also, I am sure many of the servicemen and service women who went through the Terminal remember it.. It is part of Buffalo history.

Like Doug says, how can we vote otherwise?
There was an article on the internet today on Facebook, and how there are is 1/3 of the population doesn’t have, and doesn’t want a Facebook account for various reasons.
Some have actually quit Facebook after trying it.
Seems a bit unfair, without Facebook there are a lot of us on the outside looking in.
There must be another way for us to show our support.
