Michael L. Nisengard named to CTRC Board of Directors

The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation named Michael L. Nisengard to its board of directors. Mr. Nisengard is an Associate with the law firm of Jaeckle Fleischmann and Mugel, and a member of the Firm’s Real Estate, Affordable Housing and Economic and Land Development practice groups. His practice involves a wide array of matters in the fields of residential and commercial real estate, including the negotiation of contracts, the acquisition, financing and development of commercial real estate, low income housing tax credit transactions, leasing, and examination of title. He also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Bethesda Community Development Corporation.

Mr. Nisengard’s legal expertise, previous experience as a legislative analyst with Bogdan, Lasky & Kopley, and as a legislative aide to New York State Senator Carl L. Marcellino will be valuable assets as the CTRC advances towards its goal of developing and promoting a master plan for rehabilitating the Buffalo Central Terminal.

One Response to Michael L. Nisengard named to CTRC Board of Directors

  1. Nathanael says:

I know you’re working on a master plan. I also know that you already know that top priority is fixing the barrelled roofs (or is this done yet)?

I would like to emphasize the value of *insulation* as the next step in planning after securing the building and asbestos abatement. If a historically sensitive way can be found to insulate the building properly, this will reduce the running costs significantly — eliminating one of the original reasons for the Terminal’s abandonment — and make it much more attractive for all future uses.
