Volunteers from Praxair and Erie County Social Services assisted the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation and the Curtis Urban Farm Foundation in cleaning up the grounds around the Central Terminal as part of the United Way Day of Caring. Volunteers were then treated to a tour of the concourse where they had the opportunity to learn about the history of the building and the CTRC’s plans for the future.
Among them was Linda McKenna, a Learning Management System Administrator for Praxair and daughter of Anthony Fedele, the first private owner of the Central Terminal. “I saw the redevelopment plans at the recent Bisons game and was happy to see my Dad’s vision for the Terminal finally coming true.”
Here are some photos of the efforts. Thank you to the United Way and all the volunteers for helping!
