I just thought of something. (This really isn't related to the broadcast.)
I was listening to Quinn & Rose on 'The War Room' this morning on WYSL 1040AM and a listener turned in an audio clip of Jim Quinn at KB Radio 15 when the blizzard of 1977 hit, which they played on 'The War Room'. Jim then said in about 5 minute's time it went from a light snowfall to 'like looking into a milk bottle', and 'we stopped the music and used the station as a clearing house for people who needed help'. Folks were calling in on the request line needing assistance.
I wonder if anyone who was stranded at the terminal, arriving as an Amtrak passenger, or maybe came in off the street to seek shelter from the storm, if they have memories they would like to share of that event. I was starting out for Buffalo that day, got about a mile down the road and had to turn around and head back home when it started snowing so hard I couldn't see a thing.

To John: I am full time reservist for the Air Force at the Niagara Falls Air Base, sometimes my schedule is limited. I love doing the tours, etc. Hank is a valuable asset to the CTRC in the many things he does for us.

I suppose in a way the public is safe that I'm not into politics. I just do what I can to be supportive of the effort!

You have a answer for everything! You would make a great public relations person. You know how to spin anything to make it sound good.

One thing to remember, John, is that it really doesn't matter who is serving in what capacity with the CTRC, we are a team. We are all working together to achieve a common goal; to bring Central Terminal back to the point where it can be enjoyed by many generations to come. There are a lot of us doing things behind the scenes making that possible. Just because someone's name isn't on the list of 'credits', it doesn't mean what they're doing isn't important. These folks are the insiders, the ones in the trenches that see what's going on first hand. When called upon to represent the group, they do their best. No matter who it may be, my hat is off to you folks for doing a fine job with public relations! Keep up the good work!
