If I can get KB Radio 15 I’ll be listening. Hank, check your emails before going on!
Hello and Good Day
I listened to this and had a wonderful hour of railroad history,
Everyone should hear this . That Hank is a good oratorical individual.
and represents the Terminal above and beyond….Good Luck Hank,
and watch out Mark.
Great job, guys! Let’s hope someone was listening out there that will step in and help us ramp up the restoration!
You two sounded great, I listened to the whole thing and think you both did a wonderful job at getting across our mission. Lets hope some new mwmbwers were out there listening.
Is an audio track available to listen to the program again online?
If so, please post a link!
To Doc: where do think Hank got all his information
If Mark gave him the info why wasn’t he the one on the show?
What is Hanks position with the CTRC?
One thing to remember, John, is that it really doesn’t matter who is serving in what capacity with the CTRC, we are a team. We are all working together to achieve a common goal; to bring Central Terminal back to the point where it can be enjoyed by many generations to come. There are a lot of us doing things behind the scenes making that possible. Just because someone’s name isn’t on the list of ‘credits’, it doesn’t mean what they’re doing isn’t important. These folks are the insiders, the ones in the trenches that see what’s going on first hand. When called upon to represent the group, they do their best. No matter who it may be, my hat is off to you folks for doing a fine job with public relations! Keep up the good work!
You have a answer for everything! You would make a great public relations person. You know how to spin anything to make it sound good.
I suppose in a way the public is safe that I’m not into politics. I just do what I can to be supportive of the effort!
To John: I am full time reservist for the Air Force at the Niagara Falls Air Base, sometimes my schedule is limited. I love doing the tours, etc. Hank is a valuable asset to the CTRC in the many things he does for us.
I second that!
I just thought of something. (This really isn’t related to the broadcast.)
I was listening to Quinn & Rose on ‘The War Room’ this morning on WYSL 1040AM and a listener turned in an audio clip of Jim Quinn at KB Radio 15 when the blizzard of 1977 hit, which they played on ‘The War Room’. Jim then said in about 5 minute’s time it went from a light snowfall to ‘like looking into a milk bottle’, and ‘we stopped the music and used the station as a clearing house for people who needed help’. Folks were calling in on the request line needing assistance.
I wonder if anyone who was stranded at the terminal, arriving as an Amtrak passenger, or maybe came in off the street to seek shelter from the storm, if they have memories they would like to share of that event. I was starting out for Buffalo that day, got about a mile down the road and had to turn around and head back home when it started snowing so hard I couldn’t see a thing.
To Mark
If you gave Hank all he knows if feel sorry for him, from you tours i’d say your lacking on several facts and do not present as much information. To Paul ,you seem to be a know it all who is miss informed and lacks the knowledge as to how to keep you peace, aka keep out of this . keep the faith Mark ,someday you’ll be as good as Hank .
