There must be a limited number of tickets available so if anyone is serious they better act fast!
I’ll let you in on a little secret…They are selling Friday only until Friday sells out, then they’ll sell Saturday until that sells out, and then finally sell Sunday. So if you prefer one of the other weekend days, just hold on a bit longer
There are 150 tickets each night. I should probably add that to the info…
I’m so doing this.
How much of that ticket money goes to the terminal?
Is there a time the tickets will go on sale? I hope its later time because people are at work or at school.
Thanks, Sara!
(So this is a 3-day event, with 150 tickets for each day, 450 total?)
Kind of like at the movies, huh? When the 6pm show sells out, you can get tickets for the 8pm show, but only after the 6pm show is sold out, and not until?
Any word on how they’re going to do it? How many groups, how many people in each group, and what areas in the terminal they will be ‘staking out’? I assume WNYGH members will also be on hand to assist TAPS with the groups, as leaders.
Will this event need any staffing? If its a way to dodge the $250 ticket…I’ll be going either way.
Tickets are on sale RIGHT NOW.
The event is being staffed by WNYGH, they were formed specifically to investigate the terminal and to run this event.
As for the event itself, exact details have yet to be worked out. We are currently working on cleaning up areas of the building for the investigation. There will be 5 or 6 groups exploring each different area at a time with each TAPS member. You will be exploring with every TAPS member throughout the night. Most of the areas that were on the show will be available to explore plus a few others.
Got my 2 tickets already!
Don’t get me wrong the media exposure from the first Ghosthunt was great for the building,And I assume some of the ticket $ will go to the CTRC but to pay $250 to have these TAPS moron’s tell you a mouse fart was someone trying to contact us from beyond is a bunch of Bull! Maybe someone will run into Casper!
Forest,
You assume correct. Some of the money of the tickets sales as well as other fundraisers being held during the event will go directly to Central Terminal Restoration efforts. And the last part of your post is strictly your opinion which you are allowed to have. You don’t have to attend if you don’t want to, and I am sure that this event will appeal to some but not to all. In the end though, this event will help out the terminal.
Thanks,
Ryan
In the accelerated cleanup efforts in the next few months, there may await some surprises for unsuspecting non-believers before the hunt actually happens. Jason did tell Tracy that restoration efforts may stir up paranormal happenings. Unlike abandoned prisons, mental hospitals, forts or castles, in which people were tortured or killed, and their spirits reflect the surroundings, and spirits of crazy or dangerous people are reported to roam about, at BCT, average people passed through there in life, and any spirit activity at BCT would probably not be threatening in nature, but more of a lighthearted jest on their part. I’m almost looking forward to hearing footsteps with no one nearby, or seeing a mist figure standing nearby when I come up for a work party. I’m half tempted to say to that entity ‘What are you looking at?’ or, ‘Don’t mind me, I’m just helping out tidying the place up a bit.’. Or if spoken to, to answer in German ‘What does it look like I’m doing here, dumpkoff?’.
(EVP recorders and K2 meters are nice, but, ‘Use the Force, Luke!’.)
I am so excited about this! I’ve lived in Buffalo all my life and have always wanted to do paranormal investigations in this area. My sisters, friends, & I have weekly “Ghost Hunters Nights” where we get together & watch the show & discuss. It’s so great that Buffalo is getting some recognition for all of our great history!
I think this was a great idea and what ever we can do to bring more attention to our efforts at the terminal is worth it. Whether you beleive in what the TAPS team is doing or not you have to know it is going to be a good thing for the terminal. I am telling everyone I know so we can sell out all 3 days!
ok, now I have a question. My husband bought me a ticket via paypal and his name will appear on it. Will that be a problem getting into the door?Does my name need to appear? Thanks.
Awesome photo of the trolley lobby!
THANKS!
Chris. I did send Ideal Event Management an email to give you credit on the picture. So, expect to see that soon.
Also….
To Beth. I think tickets will be mailed out a week or two before the event so it should not be a big deal. If you want to double check to make sure, send an email to iemanage@yahoo.com and ask. They will be able to let you know the procedure for sure.
Thanks,
Ryan
I emailed them days ago and still haven’t heard anything back.
Hey Chris,
Terrific pic of the trolley lobby. It looks as if it’s ready for trolly traffic.
And if trolley traffic is a real future possibility, hopefully another taxicab company owner won’t try to stop it this time!
That would be a good idea. The street that runs along that side of the building needs a lot of work. It may be owned by the city so it may be possible for the city to fix it.
Hey, maybe someone should have posted yesterday on ‘Speaking with the dead’ being on today at noon on SciFi! I missed it (again!) They’re having a GH/GHI marathon today! Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to buy the DVD when it comes out!
150 people plus taps plus event staff thats a lot of people. How are they going to do this?
Will they be recording this and be on tv?
This event will not be on tv.
150 people will be broken up into several groups which will investigate different parts of the terminal with each TAPS member. 150 is the standard size that they allow at all their events nationwide.
Had we known the episode would be on again, we’d have let you know. It’s news to us too haha.
I was on SciFi earlier in the week and I heard something about the marathon. It didn’t ring a bell with me at the time. If it did I might have checked the lineup and made a post here beforehand. SciFi might air it one more time before the end of the season. If anyone sees it in the schedule give us a shout!
Adam R…
Please also keep in mind when you are investigating a building that is 500,000+ square feet, 150 people broken up in to teams is small for the size of the terminal.

You know, if anybody has an ipod, you can buy the episode with Ghost Hunters aka TAPS investigating the Terminal on itunes. Remember, it is called “Speaking With The Dead” and it only cost $1.99. I hope this helps for anyone has an ipod.
I did some checking on the DVD. Ghost Hunters, Season 4 Part 2 is going to be released on March 17. It is a 4 disc set. I could not find a website detailing the episodes featured in that one. I would assume ‘Speaking with the dead’ is in it.
The May 22nd date is now sold out. May 23rd, Saturday, is on sale now!
We’ve got our tickets for the 22nd but were wondering if we could bring anything with us, such as flashlights or recording devices or things of that nature.
I am not sure if they are providing any equipment, so it is probably best if you bring a flashlight and any other devices you want to use. I will check on this.
Sara is right. Nothing will be provided but you can bring any equipment you want. At the very LEAST, everyone should have a flashlight for safety reasons. I recommend to bring a digital camera, digital voice recorder, and a flashlight at the minimum. And feel free to bring anything else like an emf detector, k2, digital camcorder, etc.
Ryan
We also will be broadcasting this “live” on PARA X Radio as well as Psychic Radio on CBS and AOL on both nights.
