Members Only Tour
Last Sunday saw our annual Members Only Tour, which this year included a “Town Meeting” to get suggestions and feedback from our membership. We thank everyone who braved the cold for the tour (maybe next year we’ll do it in the summer!). We remember the first tour in 2004, which had 6 people. This year we had over 100! The tour was broken up into 5 groups who went into various areas of the concourse, tower and lower levels.
We also want to thank all the volunteers who came out to act as guides, manned information tables, and served lunch.
Check out some pictures from the tour at our flickr account (click or see below). If you want to join in on the fun, become a member today!

As I mentioned before, it was a great tour, and a great time, regardless of the temperature! I remember one guy saying he came all the way from New Jersey to be there. Maybe there were others from farther away.
I heard the big concourse clock is coming back again next year, just in time for the 80th! Maybe more good news in the works too. We’ll have to wait and see! Sounds like I need to come up there more often to volunteer with the work sessions, and also learn the ropes of being a guide for the next “Members Only” tour, in case we get over 200 people next time! (I’m curious what the exact number was.)
