Central Terminal Wine Fest is coming!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Second Annual Wine Fest at the Buffalo Central Terminal to be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 12 noon to 5pm.

Event will feature wineries from throughout New York State, live music, and a
farmers market featuring food grown/made in New York.

Participating wineries will offer a sampling of their wines, and event attendees will be able to buy bottles of the featured wines straight from the Vineyards. With the rising cost of gas, event attendees are able to sample and taste many New York State wines in one place, without having to travel from vineyard to vineyard.

The farmers market supports local growers and vendors and offers event attendees to purchase items such as local blended teas, jams, and honey.

A raffle will be held, with a grand prize of two round trip tickets on Southwest Airlines.

Admissions tickets are $20 presale, and include unlimited wine tasting and a souvenir glass. Presale tickets are available at brownpapertickets.com or at Chateau Buffalo. Tickets are available for $25 at the door on the day of the event. You must be 21 years old or over to attend.

All activity will be held inside the historic Central Terminal, and therefore the event will be held rain or shine. All proceeds from the event will benefit the preservation and restoration of the Buffalo Central Terminal.

For $25.00 I would atleast have expected a morsel of cheese. I was bored to tears at times. Not enought entertainment. The band wasn’t even set up when we arrived and the farmers market was nowhere to be found. Thankfully I didn’t have to use a bathroom as the porta potties were the only option………………… I never really felt like I was having an good time, but I sure pretended alot as my bored friends were buying stuff because there was nothing else to do…….Next year NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also I tried endlessly to get on will call the day before and ended up paying extra for absolutely nothing on Sat. I did not see a Mayor, a Councilman, nor any other representative of the city there except police badges……………………..The wine and cider people were nice but the lack of activity and food was a kick in the teeth 4 my money…………………………………One big 0………………………………..
