This month marks the 5th anniversary of the beginning of the sealing of the Central Terminal. This Windows Live Local aerial shot is from that time frame.

What kind of projects are you doing with the BCT next season. I bet you got a lot of money from all your great events.

YES! The 2007 season was perhaps the best yet so far.

Note the condition of the concourse roof. The past five years have been positive in restoring this landmark.

Wow that roof does look pretty bad. I bet it looks a lot better now than it used to.

looking at your short term plans and long term plans, nothing seems to have changed since 2005 and we are entering 2008. Any idea what the goals for 2008 will be?
Was the restaurant and cocktail bar opened in 2007? I didnt notice when i was there.
Will the mail and baggage buildings finally get sealed and some needed attention?

Guys, please don’t get the idea that we are raising hundreds of thousands of dollars each season, because we are not. Our projects are modest and smaller scale. Sealing the baggage building will take a couple hundred thousand to complete. We don’t have the funds necessary at this point.
The restaurant area was cleaned out, relit and reopened to the public last year as additional event space.
We haven’t officially planned our 2008 project list as yet. Stay tuned.

Wow that roofs looks a lot more better now than when you first bought it. Great job CTRC for all your great progress with this great building.

A picture is definantly worth a thousand words. Alot has been accomplished within ten years and I hope within the next 10 years the BCT will be completed. A long road yes, but worth the journey. I can’t wait to take a trip there one day. I’ve monitored this website and alot of news in the media about this and I pray it’s successful. Here in New Jersey we have Hoboken Terminal which just turned 100 yrs old. Yes it’s still an active Railway Terminal that NJ Transit operates trains out of and was never abandoned but the way the terminal looks now compared to ten years ago is like night and day. The old brick clock tower is being rebuilt after the previous one was damaged by a storm and demolished during the 1950s.
The ferry slips are being rebuilt as well and should be back in service early next year. The interior had been fully restored back in the mid 1990s.

Forgot to mention you guys did great this year. I know you’ll do even better next year and complete projects that will surprise us even more with the way BCT is progressing. I hope the City of Buffalo and the State of New York is really helping you guys out. I pray you guys get more grants from the Federal Government as well as private contributions.
