My jaw just dropped
A lot of hard work may make the main concourse look like this again. If I won the lottery, I would donate 3 million dollars for restoration of the concourse.
The concourse looks great in this photo. Just think how it changed in almost twenty years.
I remember going to this to event with my family (I was 12). It was Burnhams Appliance’s clearance sale, and we purchased a Microwave. The salesman offered a lifetime warranty, at which my mom scoffed at; good thing as they closed soon after. Many might recall Burnhams’ showroom was on the corner of Broadway & Memorial.
